Christine Moon, LOCKSMITH, and a Peace Sign!

Two of my biggest inspirations are Christine Moon, my cousin who is a “Freedom Fighter” and an Amazing Creative Genius + LOCKSMITH, who I believe is the greatest lyrical rapper of all time!

The day this picture was taken was very eventful.

Earlier that day after I got off work I wanted to go to Rasputin’s in Berkeley because I knew LOCKSMITH was going to be there for his new album “LOFTY GOALS.” While I was on my way to go my car started acting up, the clutch was wearing down and thank God I made it to my local mechanic (Quality Auto) in Dublin! Shout out to Mike Karami! After I dropped my car off I decided to walk home. While I was walking home I was a little disappointed because I wasn’t able to go to Berkeley to see one of my favorite rappers and buy his new album. So I asked myself, who would want to go to Berkeley with me. And of course it was Christine Moon! My awesome, fun, creative, freedom fighter cousin Christine! I called her up and she picked me up like a Super Hero!

We went to Rasputin’s just in time to see LOCKSMITH, then we got hungry so we went to a cool little Thai Restaurant nearby. When we were finishing up the delicious food both of us got the same idea of saving some food for our Brothers and Sisters we saw on the street near where we parked. So we packaged our food and off we went to Christine’s car. I stopped and approached a guy in front of a Church and I asked, “Wsup Brother, are you hungry? Would you like some Thai Food?” He said, “Yeah! I’m super hungry, I love Thai food!” I gave him the food and he gave me a super big warm hug like he was war hero returning back to his family. After the best hug I have gotten in 15 years I started to walk away but he said, “Wait, I have something for you.” He gave me a “Peace Sign” made of of copper wires. I was so deeply moved by his generosity + I noticed he only had one hand. This must of taken him many hours to make and he gave me this gift as a “sign” of his appreciation. I was so deeply moved by his kindness and love. His name is Will and I hope to see him again when I visit Berkeley.

Guess you can say I was inspired 3 times that day!

#1 by my cousin Christine Moon with her kindness to pick me up, generous heart for people in need, and her awesome creativity!

#2 by LOCKSMITH with his lyrical genius and friendly interactions with us!

#3 by my new friend Will, who gave me a “Peace Sign” I will never forget to remind myself to always give appreciation back to those who bless us!

Wow! Looking back, I’m glad my car broke down because if it didn’t wouldn’t have spent such an awesome day with my cousin Christine or experienced that extravagant gesture of generosity from my new friend Will.

Let’s turn our negative experiences into something positive + Let’s surround ourselves with inspirational humans!

Who inspires you and why?

Inspired by God, Family, Artists, and New Friends!
