Super grateful for my Creative Influences!

First, my Brother Edmund “Dante the Desperado” Brooks who I met in College (SJCC) before it became William Jessup University was a huge influence for me with Christian Hip Hop. At the time we were doing a monthly outreach fellowship at my Dad’s Church (Siloam Community Church) called “Vision Worship.” We would ask different music artists to share, we had a guest speaker, then we would eat dinner together. Edmund at the time was rapping with a group called “S.I.S.T.E.M.” (Saved Individuals Sharing Their Evolved Mentalities). They came through and rocked the crowd like I have never seen before. Watching Edmund share his talents for God through Hip Hop made me want to do the same. Thank you Brother Edmund for always being a Brother who leads by example follows God even when it’s hard. Soli Deo Gloria.

Next we have Guirae Jang, my son cause he shines like one. Guirae Jang is one of the most loving, encouraging, funny people I have ever met. He has a unique ability to connect with all types of people and bring out the best in them. He is also one of the fastest learners I have met. When I first met Guirae he was a Freshman in High School. Guirae was on the Varsity Soccer Team, Football Team, and Captain of his Baseball. He also learned how to play guitar and beatbox rapidly. Grateful for my Brother Guirae and I miss you very much. Shine the DIVIN3!

3rd we have NAK, wow, what can I say about NAK. My Brother Arnold from New York showed me NAK on YouTube and instantly he became one of my favorite rappers. His lyrics are so passionate, deep, and thought provoking. He is a modern day Psalmist who through his lyrics help me overcome depression and suicidal thoughts. I will always be forever grateful for NAK and his music. Thank you Brother Daniel for sharing your wounds so we can heal ours. Shalom.

Last but definitely not least we have the one and only Kuya Paul. If you ever meet Kuya Paul, you will experience the love of God the Father in the flesh. He gives the best hugs and demonstrates the extravagant love of God. He is a true Spiritual Mentor who knows how to nurture and equip Creative Disciples of THE TRIUN3 GOD! Kuya Paul is a deep thinker, creative, and loving Brother who shares the love God through his poems, photography, videography and through his relationships. Miss you Kuya Paul, thanks for always being a voice of encouragement when I need it. One Love.
