The Legend of Kevin Medina

Kevin winning first place in Math Olympics for the 4th grade, California and Hawaii regions.

When I was Teaching 4th Grade I had a very special student named Kevin Medina. He was very hard working, respectful, and encouraging to all of his friends. His birthday was coming up and so I asked him, “Hey Kevin, what do you want for your birthday?” He looked me straight in the eyes I said, “I want to learn, I already have everything I need Mr. Kim.”

WOW! “I want to learn, I already have everything I need.”

That’s when the Teacher became the Student.

Thanks Kevin for reminding me that we already have everything we need and we always can learn more.
