Teddy Bear + David Yim: Ukulele and Saxophone

One day I called up two of my favorite Brothers / Musicians, Teddy Bear Feldmann and David Yim so we could work on a song together called “Lord I’m Found in You.” When I met up with Teddy he surprised me with a gift, a Ukulele. I was so thankful for my Brother’s generous and thoughtful gift. DIVIN3KINGDOM just got back from Hawaii and after coming back I was thinking about getting one and Teddy was so thoughtful enough to get me one. When I kept thanking him he said, “Someone gave it to me but I already have one so I thought you would like it.” What a Homie! Love that guy.

We met up with David Yim and worked on the song. It was a blast. One of my favorite joys in life is to enjoy the company of my Brothers and create music for God with them. During the studio session Teddy shared that he would one day love to learn the saxophone. When David heard what Teddy said his eyes lit up like firecrackers inside of two mason jars and he got this huge instrument case and brought it to Teddy faster than a squirrel in a roller coaster. Guess what was inside, yes, a saxophone and not only that there was a picture of a little Teddy Bear in the saxophone case! Teddy was overwhelmed with gratefulness and thanked David. David replied, “Someone gave it to me but I don’t play it so you can have it.”

I said to David, “Wow, that was so nice of you David, so generous.” He replied, “Someone did the same for me.”

No matter how hard we try, we can’t out give God.

Luke 6:38 says,

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

It’s amazing what God has done for us. When people thank us for what we have done, we can reply it’s because God did this for me.

How can we encourage a Musician for God today?

Suggestions: A word of encouragement, buy them an instrument, collaborate on a song with them.
